I have a vitamin question/ colon cleanse? that I hope someone can help me with?

I am currently taking "Hair Skin & Nail’s" by Natures Bounty, I take it as directed (three times a day). I also take an over the counter Iron supplement daily. (Mainly because the Hair Skin & Nail’s, do not have Iron in them). Anyways, I am trying to figure out a way to do an at home colon cleanse or something to clear out my digestion track, and in a way start over. I was thinking about Culturell but that just uses pro-biotics. Any other suggestions on how I can efficiently go about a colon cleanse?

With all due respect, you are wasting a lot of time and money…though I can understand why you would want to do a colon cleanse if you have been supplementing with iron (especially if you don’t need to)! You are essentially loading yourself with water-soluble vitamins that you will just pee out.

30g of fiber daily is about what the guts need to move things along nicely. Most Americans would benefit from simple fiber supplementation. The fad of ‘cleansing’ the colon is truly a misnomer, with many people believing that somehow this will detox the body…it just doesn’t work that way. The practice should be reserved for the day before a colonoscopy.

How to cleanse the colon?

I need a method to cleanse the colon at home

There are 3 methods to cleanse the colon at home:

1. The Lemonade Diet – for 14-40 days you eat only lemonade made with fresh-squeezed lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper.

2. Enema method – buy 20 disposable enemas. Fill it with boiled water (water can`t be too hot or too cold) and … go. Reapet every day

3. Colon cleansing product – ie. Bowtrol. Use it every day for 1 month

How do you do a colon cleanse at home?

to detoxify your body of bad stuff in your body

Don’t.

Just stop eating and drinking rubbish for a while and drink a lot of water.

Why would anyone want to do a colon cleanse anyway?
It’s not as if you can die if you don’t.

i’m looking for a home recipe for colon cleansing?

i’m hoping that there is a nutural home recipe for colon cleansing out there. i don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on prepacked.

Your best bet is to steer clear of something like this. Colon cleansing does not really provide any benefit. Contrary to popular belief, the inside of the colon — the end of the large intestine — isn’t dirty and does not need to be cleaned out. Mother Nature does that on her own by making sure that waste passes through and out of your body, taking impurities with it. Colon cleansing is just like having an enema, of which there is no medical reason to perform this, unless you have stubborn constipation and for preparing the colon for a test or for surgery. If you want to flush out impurities from your body, have another glass of water instead. You can read more at these links
